I am proud to be a part of the team that formed Chrysalis, and to have helped it blossom over the years.
My strength in this industry has always been having a genuine concern for people, always striving to make them feel comfortable and part of our family.
Over the years I have been fortunate to have had the opportunity to train others not only in styling, but in hair color and color-correction as well, which has always been a passion.
Known for my patience and being detail-oriented, I have perfected my craft in the Japanese thermal reconstruction process, one which may be tedious for others, but another area I enjoy. I feel good knowing how I have made a difference in the lives of clients who are finally happy having smooth, shiny hair.
My affiliation with a prestigious Manhattan salon helps round out my career in the beauty industry, allowing me to see trends outside our immediate area. My many interests outside this industry helps round out my life as a whole.

Being a seasoned stylist with many years in the industry, I enjoy performing a variety of specialties such as permanent waving, creative hair coloring and cutting for men and women as well as men’s beard and goatee detailing. My other areas of expertise are make-up artistry, wig styling and body waxing, all of which have made my career in the beauty industry an exciting one.
In addition to servicing many loyal clients throughout the years, I have conducted countless classes and workshops to both cosmetology students and established hairdressers in advanced techniques and in providing excellent customer service to clients.
Whether you’re looking for a “transformation”, or simply a “tweaking”, I look forward to meeting and working with you at Chrysalis!

Chrysalis means a new beginning and a transformation for many things. In 1987, I began a journey in my already established career, which opened its wings to express my creativity at Chrysalis. I never expected it to be so fulfilling and rewarding for me professionally and personally. I am pleased to be part owner of this unique salon, sharing its experience with an exciting a dynamic team of workers.
Besides my individuality in creating styles for you, my specialty is in designing an atmosphere of beauty and comfort in our salon for you to enjoy while you are transformed.

Being born into a family of many cosmetologists made hairstyling a natural career choice for me. I worked in a family-owned salon for the first eleven years, and have been co-owner and operator of Chrysalis since its inception.
I enjoy every aspect of my field, including hair cutting, coloring and permanent waving, as well as meeting the most wonderful people through the years.
Best of all, the respect for each other's work and comaraderie of our staff, guarantees a pleasant day at work.

I have been a licensed hairdresser since 1991. I have been working at Chrysalis since 1992, and I have loved every m minute of it!
I enjoy meeting new people and creating new styles as much as I love helping them maintain great hair. I specialize in body waves and permanent and semi-permanent coloring.

With over 15 years of experience in hair design, I have developed a real passion for making people beautiful. After training in New York City, I became part of the staff at Chrysalis where main goal is having my clients feel confident and be satisfied with their hair. I truly love what I do which definitely shines through in my work as a hairstylist.
Julie
After 2 years at Chrysalis, and then several more at another prestigious salon, I have focused not only on haircutting and styling techniques, but on creative haircoloring and highlighting to compliment one's overall look.
Specializing in both blow dry styling and Japanese thermal reconditioning, I have transformed many clients having hard-to-manage hair into hair which is smooth, silky and carefree.
I am excited to be back at Chrysalis and to reconnect with former clients and co-workers.

Working with top professionals in the field since 2002 has inspired me to perfect and mold my craft as a stylist. Having trained in Manhattan, I continue to be influenced by new and upcoming trends in the beauty industry. Known for my friendly upbeat personality, my goal is to make clients comfortable and feeling right-at-home.
My specialties include trend-setting haircutting and the latest techniques in haircoloring and highlighting. Dynamic blow-outs, curls, and up-do’s are also my forté. Whether visiting Chrysalis for a wedding, prom night, Sweet 16 or other special event, I assure premium service to both small and large parties.

Since being introduced to the cosmetology field, I have always found it to be both exciting and intriguing. Since there are always changes in the industry, there is always a lot to learn. I have only been a part of this industry for the past few years, but have enjoyed every moment.
I have a true passion for the work I do and especially enjoy the interaction between myself and the clients. I began my cosmetology career as Operations Manager at the prestigious Pileggi on the Square in Center City, Philadelphia. I later attended the Jean Madeline Aveda Institute of Philadelphia, with an emphasis in haircolor and highlighting as well as haircutting and styling.
Being a native Staten Islander, I am happy to be back in New York and especially a new addition to the Chrysalis family. I’m excited for the challenge ahead and look forward to meeting and working with everyone at Chrysalis!

Happy to be reunited with this talented team of stylists, I began my career at Chrysalis as a color apprentice, later working at Vidal Sassoon Fifth Avenue where I further explored my craft.
Seeking change, I moved to Nashville, Tennessee, working at Macy's Ecotage Salon and Spa as one of their top stylists for many years as a stylist and Image Consultant for music industry artists, business professionals and students alike.
I take pride in educating my clients on how to maintain their new or existing look. My hours are flexible to accommodate your schedule and I look forward to the opportunity of providing you with an enjoyable experience.
Like a true makeup addict, my interest in makeup artistry began long before my career in makeup began. I have been a freelance makeup artist for 6 years and am thrilled to be working closely with the professional staff at Chrysalis Salon. I enjoy diverse and various assignments and do makeup for all occasions, specializing in brides, bridal parties, Sweet Sixteen events, proms, as well as day and evening makeup for all occasions. I can also provide false eyelash application to compliment your look, with a natural, trendy or glamorous flair.
Having studied hair and make-up at The Academy NYC–a Paul Mitchell Partner School—has utilized my creativity and sparked my love of the beauty industry.
